Our function manager will tailor your event to desired style and budget. Our packages cater for sit down dinner and cocktail events, with per head or per platter pricing. We also provide A la Carte service for small groups.
Our sound system is equipped with an in-house music library or can play your own iPod. We also provide in-house DJ's or bands on request.

The beer garden is perfect for the more casual gathering. The wonderfully expansive bar opens onto the wooden deck with a retractable roof, the public and live music creates a laid back feel.

The Cocktail Bar is located upstairs with a large balcony overlooking Ryrie Street. The cocktail bar can be configured for any gathering from an intimate cocktail party to a large sit down reception. Our multi-media facilities also make it perfect for presentations.

The lounge bar also located upstairs is perfect for the more secluded gatherings with its private bar and smoking balcony. This room caters up to 35 for a sit down meal or 50 standing. With surround sound iPod facilities and mood lighting this room is perfect for the intimate dinner.

The Sporting Globe will tailor corporate and conference packages to your business needs. From a private conference room, which holds 30 people seated, to a formal presentation in our large function room which can hold 350 guests standing.
Our spaces are complete with their own private bar, amenities and a smoking area. Our facilities also include the capacity to host seminars and group training events with our audio visual equipment and large scale projector.

Some function areas require a minimum spend amount to have the area exclusively to yourself. Failure to reach your minimum spend may result in the loss of some or all of your bond to meet the designated amount.
Any decorations must be approved by management prior to the event and may only be fixed using blu-tac. Under no circumstances may glitter or confetti be used, this may result in you losing your bond. The Sporting Globe can arrange professional decorations for your function. Ask us about our balloon packages.
Live entertainment not provided by The Sporting Globe must be approved by management and are NOT permitted to use any of the in-house Sound, Lighting or Visual equipment under any circumstances. DJ and equipment can be hired through the venue.
All food and beverage is to be supplied exclusively by The Sporting Globe, the ONLY exception to this is if you would like to supply your own cake. Your cake can only be bought into the venue on the day of the function. The Sporting Globe takes no responsibility and cannot store or refrigerate cakes prior to a function.
Management reserves the right to end any function, eject any or all guest and confiscate both the bond and the booking deposit if appropriate behavior is not observed by all of your guests. By signing this agreement you are taking responsibility for all of your guest’s behavior and for all of the conditions contained in this agreement.
A minimum non-refundable deposit equivalent to room hire is required upon a function booking. 10% of the function total is payable no less than two weeks prior to the function. The client must provide credit card details with this signed agreement and is liable to pay for any damages during the function. A cleaning fee may also be charged when necessary.
Cancellations any time will forfeit the deposit in full. Two weeks minimum notice is required to cancel your event. Cancellation of your event less than two weeks from the booking date will forfeit 10% of the function total along with the deposit.
The client is financially responsible for any damage caused to the venue during the function as well as on entering and exiting the venue.
Final numbers for catering purposes will need to be provided a minimum of 5 working days prior to the function. You will be charged for no less than this number.
Account payments must be finalized prior to commencement of function excluding bar TAB. We do require a credit card to be held over the bar during the function when the bar TAB has not been finalized prior and will be returned after final payment of has been received.
All underage guests must at all times be under the strict supervision of a parent or legal guardian and must remain within the designated function area. Underage guests MUST NOT consume alcohol, and if are found to be doing so, will be asked to leave immediately.
